The golf course of Saint-Jean-de-Monts was created in 1988, designed by the French architect Yves Bureau, who also owes the golf of Omaha Beach in Normandy and the golf of Cairo in Egypt. In addition to being practicable all the year round, the Vendée golf course the two main palettes of the game of golf. The first 9 holes are hidden between maritime pines and holm oaks, well sheltered from the wind, while the 9 back holes give out on the ocean, in the pure tradition of Scottish links. A real golf challenge, especially when the wind joins in the game.
